Lynda is a native Calgarian, and has been in service to a broad spectrum of the Calgary community for over 20 years with her healing touch & love of Massage Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, and Energy Medicine.

Upon her graduation from the Massage Therapy program at MRC in 1994, she moved to Vancouver, where she practiced massage part-time & gave birth to her beautiful daughter in 1996. Becoming a mother, and experiencing the profound and vast range of emotions that came with having a precious child of her own, opened up a new aspect of purpose for her, and she became interested in working with moms & babies through Craniosacral therapy.

This led her to study with The Upledger Institute in the areas of Craniosacral therapy (CST 1&2), Somato Emotional Release (SER 1&2), and Pediatric Craniosacral Therapy (1&2), and to integrate these powerful healing techniques into her practice. Lynda takes great joy in working with mothers (dads too) and children, and feels grateful to support thriving families throughout life’s adventures and challenges. She continues to enhance her toolbox, to fulfill her vision of healthy living and wellness for herself and all humanity.

Lynda’s personal interests include yoga & Ayurveda for optimal life vitality, stretching, meditation, toning and breathwork practices, walking and being with nature, music (especially her daughter’s), cuddling with her cat, ongoing shamanic studies and practice, dancing, drumming, and all things that bring joy and light into the world.

I have felt drawn to work in the field of Psychology since I was young. Something about helping people while understanding the mind and healing the soul felt beautiful to me. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary I spent some time working at a youth group home leading group work, individual and family therapy sessions, under the guidance of a Registered Psychologist. While I loved the work, I moved on to supporting families and parents in a role with Child and Family Services. This role fostered my love of working with families further and my desire to help those that needed the support. I completed my Master of Counselling degree from Athabasca University and worked with adult individuals on a walk-in basis at Eastside Family Centre in Calgary. Since completing my master’s degree I have worked with adult individuals both privately and at a non-profit agency. I have found my passion to be working with and supporting women especially as they transition into motherhood, in what ever way that journey may look. After becoming a mother myself, I felt that there was a gap in the system and in what was offered by mental health professionals. It also seemed that there was no where to turn when the transition into motherhood was not all sunshine and rainbows. I began in private practice so that women could have a safe space to talk about all their emotions and feelings, good or bad, and to feel supported rather than judged. I work collaboratively with my clients to navigate the journey of womanhood and motherhood in a way that is unique to them.

I began my career as a Registered Massage Therapist with WCCMT over 30 years ago and found an interest in the subtle modalities of Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release around this time, studying under Upledger Institute, as well as John F. Barnes. After many years working in these modalities I went back to school and became a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist in 2007 which supports and connects to the body’s ordering principle also know as the breath of life. This work is beautiful, gentle, and at times profound. As the years unfolded I continued to learn and grow, studying Ayurveda through the Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico under the guidance of Dr. Vasant Lad. I completed my practicum in Pune India in 2005 and utilize this in all aspects of my life and practice through the lens of each individuals unique blueprint. Ayurveda literally translates to mean the ‘Science of Life’ with the knowledge that what is in nature is also within us. As and Ayurvedic Health Practitioner I look at all aspects of diet and lifestyle to create balance within the body. In my practice I also utilize various tuning forks and sound instruments to assist in bringing coherence to the system through the healing frequency of sound. This is exciting work for me and I am continually in awe of the profound shifts that can occur with this work alone, or in combination with other modalities. I have a passion for working with individuals and supporting them on the path of healing and wellness. I am honoured to do what I love, and I look forward to being a part of your unique and special journey.
